This is a year that I think it will be hard for the SEC to win it all for the 6th straight year. I think Florida is still kind of rebuilding at this point, and won't be a real contender. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Ole Miss just are not that good. I don't think South Carolina can do it, because they have never been consistent under Spurrier. Auburn won't be that good again after losing Newton and Fairley. Georgia in my opinion is the only team from the east that has a chance. They should be very much improved from last year. Alabama wouldn't seem like they will be good enough this year, but with these great recruiting classes Saban gets, he just replaces All Americans with All Americans. LSU has a chance to do it, just because they always have a solid defense, but I don't think that they will do anything great until they get rid of Miles. Last is Arkansas who lost Mallett, but returned pretty much everyone else. And the new quarterback, Tyler Wilson, definitely showed last year at Auburn that he can be a good quarterback. And with running back Knile Davis, who didn't become the main running back until 6 games into the season. In the last 7 games alone he ran for over 1,167 yards, and averaged 166.7 ypg.

Well, if you get a daily newspaper you could shred that and use it, but you would need to clean the cage often (especially since it's an aquarium) probably 2-3 times a week. Cloth or fleece can work but needs to be changed out every other day, also some rats will rip it up an use it in their beds. Carpet does not work because it absorbs urine and can't be washed. By shelves do you mean shelf cages? If yes than I have read they do very well, and apparently don't chew through the wood. But you must put lino or fleece or towels or something on the wood.

Border collies are just like your description they can jump high, love and need lots of exercise and never lazy they will play run and jump until you want them to stop. They rarely shed so no mess and they are ranked the smartest dogs in the world so they are easy to train and they can learn with voice or hand signals they are also cute and beautiful dogs. One on my miniature hampsers is squeaking and panting?

i have two 11 month old miniature hamsters (not sure what breed but there both white underneath with grey/creme/brown bits on top, and there quite short and fat) and one's fur looks kind of sweaty and its squeaking constantly now (which started a week ago, when it squeaked constantly for 10 minutes on and off) and looks like its panting or heart beating very obviously and fast. the other hampsters fur looks abit sweaty but isnt squeaking or panting atall. weve just had a heatwave and i tried to keep their cage as cool as possible but it must have been quite hot in there still as i was attending to my other animals and couldnt sit with hampsters all day! what could be worng with him, is he dying?

Cat pulling out her fur?

Ok, so a female tuxedo cat who lives in Mesa, AZ, indoor/outdoor cat, and lives with 2 other female tuxedo cats, all indoor/outdoor. None of the other cats have any issues, and all are healthy and happy as could be. However, our dominant female, who is part Siamese, is pulling out the fur on her lower back. it is getting progressively worse. whenever she grooms herself, we find small clumps of fur strewn across the house. We treat her regularly for worms, since she is partly outdoors. None of the other cats have flees, so we know that is not what it is, and she has also had progressive weight loss. she is not due for her examination for several months, so I was wondering if anybody knew what is is that is bothering her, and if I can buy it over the counter? she has no obvious ailments besides thin fur on her back end, and inching up her torso. health ears, healthy gums, healthy eyes, healthy eating, pooling, and temper. any suggestions?

Lump or just a bruise on my dog?

I would definitely take him to a vet as soon as possible. Dogs aren't supposed to have lumps. So any kind of lump is a bad lump on a dog. Please, just take him to the vet to have it checked out. It could be a tumor or some kind of cancer. The fact that it doesn't bother him might be good but i'd still like a vet's opinion on it. I hope everything's okay with him.

Where should I go to college for premed between LSU, University of Alabama, and U of Miami?

I live in state for Louisiana State University, so I have tuition and an extra $400 covered. I also received a $2000 scholarship to LSU. I have grown up loving LSU, and I know it well. I also recently went to their Spring Invitational program in which I received 30 hours of credit already. On the other hand, the University of Alabama seems more committed to me as an individual and I have received the Presidential Scholarship there due to my earning National Merit Finalist. It is about 6 hours away from home though and in actuality it is bigger than LSU. I just felt that its honors college was more dedicated to me. Also, I have heard that its premed program is a top notch program. Finally, the University of Miami is in beautiful Coral Gables. I like the fact that almost everyone goes there not knowing anyone(meaning that no one is really an outsider or "new"). Also, it is a much smaller school, allowing for smaller classes (11:1 student: teacher ratio). However, it will cost a bit more to go here. I received the University Scholarship for $24000 but its still a bit more than that to go here. I honestly am so confused. I have no clue which school is "the best fit for me" or the school that "will make me the happiest." Since I have until May 1 to decide, I'm freaking out...a lot. Please help with any and all information you can.

How could I fix these graphic bugs in a Conker's BFD rom?

Whats the better route to go, the NCAA or CHL in order to get drafted into the NHL?

Obviously more players get drafted from the CHL than the NCAA. How chicken and egg that is would be the debatable point. Obviously playing a longer schedule, players being drafted/traded, fighting, etc. make the CHL a lot more like the NHL. Therefore you can make the argument that players that would go totally unnoticed in the NCAA manage to blossom in the CHL. However the guys who really are good, do not go unnoticed in the NCAA.

1000 dollar vacuum broke and we can't return it ? Any advice ?

So my parents on the advice of my aunt, bought a central vacuum, one for a thousand dollars. I used the vacuum 3 times and then the main vacuum ended up burning out . The vacuum guy came over and said that we have too many wool rugs and that we can't use the vacuum because of the amount of rugs we have. Cat's skin has turned black?

I have a two year old white chinchilla Persian cat and the groomer shaved her fur (not fully - she is still covered in fur but it is very short) - Her skin underneath the white fur was visible as pink. I just adopted a stray cat out of my yard. I took her to the vet and found out she has ear mites, roundworms, and fleas. My vet put Advantage Multi on her to treat, and gave me a tube to put on my resident cat to make she doesn't get anything from the newbie. I've never done it before, and when I put it on, I got down to the skin like you're supposed to, but some of it dripped down her fur. I wiped that off with a dry tissue, but then she licked the spot where it had run down her. Obviously, it tasted bad, and I haven't seen her lick the area anymore. Should I apply another dose, or did she get enough? (I don't know how much actually stayed on her and how much ran off.)

I am glad to hear that you had 4 ferrets total and not just the 2 bonded ones. Ferrets become very bonded to each other and their owner. If Patches was bonded with the one you lost and not the other so much, it will be especially hard for him. I have had that problem before as well. As long as Patches has had his cage mates for a while I wouldn't be too worried. He will probably be depressed for a while. Just give him lots of attention and keep an eye on him.

I had a hamster with these symptoms one time, and the vet told me that it looked like a skin fungal infection. They have shampoos that you can buy to get rid of it. Make SURE your baby doesn't have ANY bugs that you can see, but keep in mind, some parasites are too small to see. Keep an eye on the wound and the flaky spots, if it starts to spread, take him to the vet! He may just have dry skin, or the cut may just be trying to heal. If you notice it spreading or him scratching at it alot, this is usually the sign of a fungal infection (kind of like the mange) or a parasite problem. Just keep an eye on it! My cat was attacked a few months ago by a animal. Well I would say Oregon...mainly because I like it there.....but if personally go with the one thats the cheaper route...LSUS might be a better choice, you can probably have a car etc. with oregon, you have to fly probably 4 times a year(starting school,christmas break, spring break and ending school) thats a lot of money on airfare...and you probably won't have a car your first two year, given it would be pretty tough to drive your car up there, and if you buy one there, where would you put it over summer break.... Even if your not getting a car at either one, it'll still be cheaper to fly to LSUS than oregon.

I believe the rules are the same for NAIA players as it is for junior college players in that they do not have to sit out a year before becoming eligible to play.

Sounds to me like he probably has fleas. That would explain the licking and nibbling. If this is the case, then he probably ate an infected flea and may have intestinal parasites.. they're not USUALLY a huge issue.. until the cat stops eating. Treat him with some Advantage flea treatment and then take him to the vet for a de-wormer.. and if that is indeed the issue, it will clear up.

Fur loss and discoloration in pug?

Marriage counseling please?

My wife and i have been married for 23 years; we have a 21 year old son who graduated from LSU yesterday (BioChemistry major), and a 16 year old daugher who will be a high school senior next year. My wife and I have probably argued more than the average couple (I guess), but I always thought we would be together forever. I've never believed in divorce when there are children involved, unless there were circumstances such as infidelity, or abuse, or things of that nature. About 5 years ago my in-laws moved to the town where we live, about 15-20 minutes away from our home. Since then the relationship between my wife and I has progressively gotten worse. I place lots of the blame on my mother in law. She has always been able to persuade my wife to do things for her that she didn't want to do; like go to her class reunions, go to funerals, go to weddings, and now, go to the store for her. It was always something I tolerated, but now that she's living near us it happens all the time. She's healthy, she's just a lazy ***. And now my father in law is having health issues, so she is relying on my wife more. My brother in law lives an hour and a half from where we live, and he is never asked to do anything because he has no problem just saying "HELL NO" when he is asked. My wife doesn't know how to tell her mother no, to anything. I few months ago my wife told me that she was thinking we should consider a divorce, but that her mother suggested to her that we should wait until the summer time, when our kids would be done with this school year. Since then we've been to counseling, and I've been as nice as possible. But for some reason my wife is meaner and more ugly to me than ever before. I'm feel like she is in a situation with her mother where she knows her mother wants us to get a divorce, and she doesn't want to tell her mother "NO." Her mother knows that I don't care for her, and that's only because she takes advantage of my wife, and now she does the same thing to our son everytime he's in town. Also, with my father in law's health declining, I wouldn't put it past my mother in law looking for my wife to take care of her if he should die soon; that's how she thinks; she is evil and selfish. Well, I'm at a point now that I can't take anymore of the rudeness and disrespect that my wife dishes out to me everyday. But remember that I don't believe in divorce, and I hate to think what it would do to our kids if we were to divorce. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be done here to help us get through this? I've heard of something on the religeous side called Retrouvaille, but I haven't met anyone thats tried it before. Help please.

You are very good, I think good enough to run in college. Your times are all very good, but I especially think your 100m and 400m are great. My cat has a weird problem with digging at himself?

My cat is about 5 or 6 and he's digging at himself. He's been doing this since about 3-4 months ago. Back around that time, my people would scratch his back/tailbone and he'd lick the air. Now it's around his shoulder bones and his sides. He's digging at his skin and there's a lot of fur coming out and getting onto his claws. I've checked for fleas on him, and all I seen was a little bit of flea waste. It's not very noticeable, but I'm really worried about him. He HAS been around one cat with feline leukemia, but that cat got put down by one of my neighbors, and I don't think my cat and that cat made contact. My family is really too poor to take him to the vet and get him checked, and I highly doubt that he's up to date on all his shots. When gerbils molt their fur do they change their fur color?

My first grey gerbil which was grey befor molting always had a white spot on his head and between his shoulders but now he's tuning all the way white... My other gerbil is an original golden tan color which fads to a creamy tan color on his belly but now he's loosing his tan and tuning to a cream color... Your dog probably has hot spots all over him. Basically it's a commen skin condition in which the skin becomes very itchy and flaky. They can get it any time, whether they are well taken care of or not. My dog had this problem once They can come up any time of the year, but the warmer months are most commen. My daog has had this or twice and it is very easy to fix. First if he is wearing a collar, take it off because it might be causing the irritation arounds his neck area. Next you need to go out buy some hot spot shampoo. We found this product that we really liked called "Vet's + Best" It says this on it--Fast itch relief for dogs Tea Tree oil and Aloe Vera. Cat is losing weight although he eats well?

My 11YO male cat has been losing weight since January. Blood work done reveals a very healthy animal! He has also been licking fur off and is bald on various parts of his body. He's active, alert, rambunctious...normal...but looks so skinny. Vet has done check up and everything seems normal. My outdoor adult male cat came home a few days ago with his left cheek fur pressed down, I figured he had just rubbed up against something sticky and it pressed his fur down (wouldn't be the first time). 2 days ago we noticed a horrible smell and traced it to his cheek, after further searching we found a gash so we cleaned it out. TOnight when we cleaned it out a lot of gooey white stuff came out of it, we got as much out of it as we could and put some neosporin. It's large enough to fit a q-tip into ( i didn't put one into it just an estimate.) He's not acting like it hurts, still running around jumping and loving his eating hasn't changed or anything. I'm just worried.... is there something more I should be doing? Please help.

Help! My Uncle's Farm Cat had some Kittens two days ago?

Firstly.... AWWWWWWWWWEEESSS. Ok now that I got that out.. lol... It takes at least 8-10 days for kittens to open their eyes, I think mine started to open theirs around day 5 and they were fully opened by 2 weeks, and usually begin walking a bit by 2 weeks of age, mine started scooting and crawling like day 2, but they really began walking and playing by 3 weeks of age. It all depends on nature and how healthy and strong they are. The mother should let you touch the kittens right away if she's comfortable with you (the cat I had I got only a few weeks before giving birth and she wouldn't let me leave her side, I had to help her with the birthing process, and we did lose a kitten, so she let me pet and cuddle and hold them like as they were born). It all depends on her. As for genders, I could tell mine a few weeks after birth. MOSTLY all orange/white striped kittens are male, it's rare (so i've heard) for a female to be orange/white. Ive seen beige/white striped females though. And the marked one could be either. I know Calico are usually female (just like mentioned above situation), but as I said, you can never be 100% sure that way... Just do some reaserch on what the back ends look like, my kittens had prodominent testicles from what I could tell. Also compare them all... You may have all males. I know Males have more length between their butt and genitals then females. If you need any more info let me know. Good Luck :)

New Orleans is the opposite of homophobic. New Orleans might have, on a percentage basis, the most GLBT people other that San Francisco. Tulane is very open to all and has an active GLBT organization. I cannot comment on the other areas you mention, except to say that Northern Louisiana is very different than Southern Louisiana, almost like 2 different states. New Orleans is, of course, in the very southern part of the state.

I played D3 football for 2 years. My 3rd year I was injured early in the season with a broken leg. The following year I didn't play due to problems with the leg still and graduated that year. What would happen if a college football team decided to go on strike and not play until they got paid?

At this point amatuerism is dead in college football. The constant rule violations and NCAA investigational theaterics is a joke. Does anyone really think that Reggie Bush or Terrell Pryor showed poor character? They were getting screwed by not getting any of the BILLIONS that everyone else is making on their backs. The NFL is facing the prospect of missing a season because its players have a union and stand together so they don't get cheated. Why not in college sports? How great would it be to have College Game Day show up along with a few hundred thousand fans and tailgaters only to find out the actual players are picketing instead of playing. OK, full disclosure, I root for the buckeyes. But at this point, the whole BCS system needs to to be burned to the ground and I say that even though the buckeyes have benefited more from the BCS than any other team. Maybe the justice department might do some good by throwing out the monopoly card but I suspect that nothing will come of it. College football is the only college sport that benefits from the three year rule that forces a star to wait three years before going pro. That's just un-American. I believe they mean hot around the band where the hoof meets the fur - although that could also be caused by other things. I saw a foundered horse once, and it was pretty obvious - her legs were all swollen and she was in obvious pain. Founder can be caused by injury, but I think the most common and preventable cause is rich food. But if you do well in your classes, get involved in some activities, and have a good reason for wanting to transfer, you certainly have a chance. Probably what major you are choosing (since you will have a major by then) will also be a consideration. If it is one that is common at Tulane, that might work against you. If it is a more unusual or at least less popular major, that might be a plus. All you can do is try!

My puppy was playing outside in my neighbors back yard and he got stuck in a "rat glue trap"... We've been trying to get the glue out of his hair but it won't come out and sticks to anyone who touches him. We've tried Dawn dishsoap and still nothing... I'll proceed to trying peanut butter and see if that works.. Also, cutting isn't an option because he's a chihuahua dog and doesn't have enough hair to cut. The glue is on most of his face, completely coated on his two front paws and most of his stomach and back. Please help, for the sake of "Ollie".

Should I go to the University of Alabama or LSU? College help!?

I really really need advice. I want to go to medical school so I understand the school you go to doesn't matter. I know that GPA and MCAT scores are all that matter. That being said, I have the opportunity to go to LSU or the University of Alabama. I would be in the Honors College for each. The cost would be about the same. I would have to pay very little to go to LSU (because it is my state school and I received scholarships), and I would probably be paid a little bit to go to Alabama. My true dilemma revolves around two key issues. Should I go to Alabama where I would get the out of state experience, much smaller classes, and a more personalized honors college? Or should I go to LSU (I have grown up loving LSU and going to all the football games), where all of my best friends and girlfriend of 2 years are going, despite the budget cuts, economic uncertainty, and much larger classes? Basically, UA with more personalized OOS experience or LSU with bigger classes and all of my best friends?

Question about my pet allergies!?

Ok, so I really want pet, but I'm allergic to everything! I had a dog, had to get rid of her. I'm allergic to rabbits, hamsters. Anything! And I really want a pet, any advice on what I could possibly get that wouldn't bother my allergies? I suppose the common factor is fur, dander? First you should take the ASVAB. That will tell you where your stand career wise. Other than that your physical characteristics look fine. I've only known the marines to take 18 year olds though. In rare circumstances they will find jobs for 17 year olds. So you have some time. See if you can still join a ROTC program through your school. Get a feel for what your getting into. If your not a complete moron might I recommend the Air Force.

Our cat is the next addition to the family, and we love him dearly. Once again I have just finished my last game and I need something to hold me over until NCAA 12 next month lol I have narrowed my choices down to Shift 2 unleashed, Fallout New Vegas, and Fable 3 I played the first Shift game and I really like it and I played Gran Turismo 5 and that was an awesome game to, so how does Shift 2 compare to those games? I also played Fallout 3 and that was to an awesome game but I thought it was extremely long and difficult at certain points in the game so I think New Vegas will be the same, I have never played any of the Fable games but I did play the Fable 3 demo and I thought it was pretty fun but anyone who has played it I would like your opinion on it. So those are my choices and if you think there is something out there way better then these games feel free to offer your opinion, FYI I have all the call of Duty games and Battlefield games and all the GTA's and Red Dead Redemption and alot of racing games, just to give you an idea of what I normally play. I have a cat, dog and bunny. I think I am allergic to my cat and bunny's fur. they shed a lot and my nose, throat, and ears itch whenever I am around them and it gets worse when I pet them. My cat has thousands of fleas on him how do i get them off of him after his flea bath?

What do i do if my horse has ticks?

My horse has a flaking of the skin and scabs on the back of his knees on his front legs and also stomps his back feet when hes out in the field or in his stable. we are quite close to our blacksmith and i was just talking about the problem with him and he said that when he was doing his back feet he had 2 ticks crawling up his arm. i dont know if hes lying about this because why didn't he tell me when it happened. he only said it once i brought the issue up. i have had a look in his fur and i cant find any sign of them. he is a cob and his quite thick feathers so they could be rummaging around in there. if he does have ticks, what will get rid of them? i've heard frontline works quite well...?

He's adorable! Looks like a domestic short hair with tabby stripes as well as a bit of a seal point coloring. The seal point coloring (like a siamese or bengal) might become more distinct as he gets older. My siamese was mostly white till after she was a year, then got darker, now she's Very dark.

Help with pigeon please!! emergency?

I found a baby pigeon, it flaps its wings and tries to fly so it must be around 20 days old. But it wont eat anything! Its scared of me and tries to run. I gave it bird food + whatever birds eat and it wont even open its mouth! The stupid thing wont even peck at anything! How can I get it to eat something? Here are the details: She and I have been friends for years but she just got her first boyfriend and since we went off to different colleges we obviously haven't been able to see each other much so when she comes back to town, we always make plans. We got into a fight about it and now we've been arguing back and forth. She claims that I "bully her" and now she wants to "stand up for herself". But she ditched me and hasn't apologized or admitted that it was wrong and just insists that we didn't have plans, even though we had talked about going to the movies for three straight days before she left for LSU. Now I don't know what to do, I want to be friends again but neither of us will back down from our positions. I tried to get her to come over to talk it out but she refused and now Im out of ideas to resolve this problem and when I talk to her she just makes me so angry that I don't want to resolve it.
